The voice that makes the factory speak
Taggl and Maecos are developing a handsfree voice-to-action system that helps operators capture observations, decisions, and shop-floor knowledge without interrupting production.
Cross-border innovation project
Speech as the bridge between people and production systems
Operators in manufacturing work mobile, hands-on, and under time pressure. Valuable operational data often stays unregistered because typing into terminals or forms takes too much time, especially in noisy production environments.
Maecos contributes deep expertise in shop-floor processes and digital workflows. Taggl adds industrial wearables, robust audio capture, and AI-based voice processing for factories. Together, both partners are building a system where operators can simply speak what they see or decide.
A context-aware AI filters background noise, understands domain language, and converts spoken input into suggested digital actions. Operators can validate those suggestions in a visual Voice Inbox within seconds.
Project focus
Less friction, faster information, stronger knowledge transfer
The solution will be validated in real production environments in the metal and food industries, including operational profiles at ERVO Projects and Alpro.
Reduce information latency from more than one hour to less than five minutes.
Save 3% to 5% of operator time per shift by removing walks to terminals and manual transcription.
Make digital registration more inclusive for experienced, multilingual, and less screen-oriented workers.
Supported by CrossRoads and Interreg
Taggl and Maecos develop this project with support from CrossRoads Flanders-The Netherlands, part of the Interreg Flanders-The Netherlands programme, and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
